Hi, I’m Kayla
I’m a Houston-based therapist with specialties in the recovery from borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder, relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction issues. I do not see anyone as defined by their symptoms — symptoms are a way of telling your story.
I combine DBT skill-building, cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic processing, and attachment-informed learning to help clients reduce symptoms and develop a stronger, more integrated sense of self.
Together we build practical skills in mindfulness, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectivenesswhile also exploring patterns, meanings, and relational histories that shape your experience. My goal is to help you move beyond diagnostic labels to live with greater clarity, connection, and purpose.
I’m based in the Houston area and hold an independent license to practice clinical social work in Texas. When I’m not working with clients, I paint professionally, read and write fiction, and stay involved in the recovery community as an advocate.

I believe therapy works best when it’s both deeply relational and practical. Alongside thoughtful therapeutic processing, I focus on helping you build skills you can actually use between sessions. I tailor our work to you (your values, your goals, and what’s showing up in your life) rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach.
